Spring Demo Appreciation Post

Hey everyone!

In the light of the Spring Demo everyone can currently play, it would be great to thank the whole PokeForce team for the amount of effort they poured into the game so far! I joined the project in October 2022 and they really started from scratch, the progress they made so far is astonishing.

They are passionate individuals with a vision, doing all this work on their free time and without asking for a dime.

It's important to acknowledge that and important to show them some grattitude!

Thank you to the whole PokeForce team for what you brought us.
Don't be deterred by the negative comments, there also is a silent part of the player base extremely happy with what you are doing. Good things take time and iteration, but you'll get there.

To the players, constructive criticism is obviously welcomed, but do it a respectful and perceptive way.

I actually enjoyed the demo so far

, excluding the relogging every 5 mins (that is bit frustrating).

Using tutorial island to expose new functionality (or a refresher to some) was a really great addition. I dont really need to go over those things after the tutorial as long as I have seen it work, its good enough for me for a demo.
Pokemon indicators - very good addition. No longer encountering random high lvls in the most unexpected patches now .
Gyms addition - much needed - Okay they r bit buggy but its expected :x

Only thing that needs to be definetely tackled next time round is the generic experience such as learning new moves without issues. For starters, this will be easier to deal with your hard content. ( I will exclude battles themselves not crashing etc because it probably a larger task than anyone expects )

I've been waiting to play ever since the last demo.
Happy that I've had the chance to enjoy the game and talk to some of the lovely community members again. <3

Bugs are to be expected, as it's a Demo - but what is worthwhile is the memories and experiences we have together. :3
Much love to the lovely staff members and community who make this game truly special.


Now I go back to my hidey-hole and lurk.

To add onto that as the favorite of the discord being Alycia personal Pokémon trainer Orange best friend and vixen right hand id like to say this game has given excitement I’ve been lacking in modern gaming especially Pokémon the amount of hours and progress being able to see dedication to craft is truly beautiful this game means so much to me already as a demo and I can’t express it into words the people of this community are so warm and welcoming it’s truly a blessing to be apart of pokeforce and I can’t wait to see you gamers in the full release

Really enjoying the demo so far, it’s been a great experience on my steam deck. Amazing work by everyone involved!

Been playing all day yesterday and today—having a blast. Even with the bugs, this game has huge potential if a few rough edges get smoothed out. Can’t wait to see how it progresses down the line.

The game has potential, but it shouldn't be released even as a demo in this state. It's been a frustrating experience so far. Hope they can fix what needs to be fixed, but the demo should have been postponed
