Hello, PokéForce community! We are delighted to have every one of you around, and sincerely hope that you have fun playing and experiencing what our Summer Demo has to offer. We strive to make this experience as enjoyable as possible, and thus, The PokéForce Community Guide Team has prepared a plethora of activities for everyone to partake in during the two-week period the Demo will take place. Whether your objective is simply to have a good time alongside us and the community, or to attain one of the permanent rewards and recognitions associated with our events, in this thread you will find all the information you may need in order to not miss out on any of the fun! Event Schedule (Summer Festival):  This schedule represents our locked events, remember that events may still happen impromptu! |
During this Summer Demo, the Community Guide team will be maintaining public Event Leaderboards, where the progress and achievements of event participants will be reflected as they engage in our Summer Festival, a series of in-game community events that offer a variety of opportunities for obtaining points, which are used to determine the position of each player within the individual Event Leaderboard AND the placement of each of the four Summer Festival teams in the Team Leaderboard!
 Become one of the top 10 players in the individual Event Leaderboard by the end of the Demo to earn a permanent Summer Demo exclusive "Summer Festival Champion" badge, which will be reflected in your in-game Trainer Card and forum profile! If you registered to the Summer Festival teams, then every point you obtain during our events will also add up to the overall team score in the Team Leaderboard. The members of the team that obtained the most points by the end of the Demo, and the top scorer of each other team (MVP), will be rewarded with the permanent Summer Demo exclusive variation of the Summer Top, "Summer Festival Medal" cosmetic item!   Visit this thread if you haven't registered to the Summer Festival teams. Registrations will close on August 30, at 11:59 PM PDT. (Note that you can still participate in the individual leaderboard if you don't register to the teams) Remember that you can only register with 1 account. Attempting to register multiple accounts will result in disqualification. |
However, not all of our events in this Demo will be part of the Summer Festival. To determine that, look for the Rare Candy icon on the top left of the banner of each of our events, which will mean that the event in question is indeed part of them!
Keep in mind that events that are not part of the Summer Festival still have rewards tied to them, so make sure to check them out!

What's an adventure without memories to look back on? As you experience our Summer Demo, you may find snapshots in time you'd like to immortalize, maybe even come back to. If you are the kind of person who likes to create meaningful experiences and memories, then consider participating in our Summer Memories event! Here you will find all you need to know about it!
• Event summary: Immortalize your experiences in the Summer Demo by capturing your personally meaningful moments via screenshots or videos. Upload your schreenshots or videos to the dedicated thread in this forum to share them with everyone and work alongside the community in writing PokéForce's history! Participate in this event, and you will be rewarded!
• How to participate: To participate, simply capture your experiences in the Summer Demo and upload them to the dedicated thread in the form of screenshots or videos! ⎯⎯ ❱❱ Shiny Hunting Event: Shiny Summer Recap! ❰❰⎯⎯
Shiny Pokémon are undoubtedly one of the most enjoyable and loved aspects of any Pokémon game, and PokéForce is no exception! During the Summer Demo, you may encounter Shiny Pokémon while exploring the available Johto areas, and as such, we would like to make such encounters all the more meaningful. If you enjoy Shiny Hunting or are simply feeling lucky enough, then make sure to check out our Shiny Summer Recap event, because everyone who plays the Demo will be a participant!
• Event summary: Hunt for, find and catch Shiny Pokémon during the two-week duration of the Summer Demo, become one of the top players to catch the most Shinies and receive a permanent reward to commemorate your efforts, determination and luck!
• How to participate: Simply put, by playing the Summer Demo you are already participating in this event. This is because in this instance we have a public leaderboard system in place to track and register when a Shiny Pokémon is caught, which you'll be able to check once we have it set up, meaning that any and all Shinies you manage to obtain will automatically add up to your score for this event! Of course, this implies that if you actively Shiny Hunt, you will have a better chance at being one of the top scorers!
We'll give more details about how to access the Shiny Leaderboard when we have it ready!

⎯⎯ ❱❱ Skill Event: Mining Frenzy! ❰❰⎯⎯
If you played our previous Christmas Demo, you know that Mining was a very well received feature. This time around, we decided to create an event dedicated to all our Mining enthusiasts out there! If you like competitions and team activities, join us in our Mining Frenzy event, grab your pickaxe and venture inside the mysterious Dark Cave, mine the ore nodes away and collect the rare Treasure you find!
• Event summary: Join us and enter the Dark Cave to mine all the ores you can find! Your objective is for you to obtain as much Treasure as you can within the time limit, as those are rare drops that can be found while mining any ore node. When the time limit runs out, you will be rewarded points for both the individual Event Leaderboard and the Team Leaderboard based on how much Treasure you were able to obtain!
• How to participate: In order to participate in this event, it is necessary that you first buy a Pickaxe and Lantern in game, as you will need these tools in order to make your way through Dark Cave and mine. We also recommend a mining level of at least 10.
Then, make sure when the next game of Mining Frenzy will take place, which you can check on our Event Schedule at the start of this thread!
After this, make sure to attend the event's starting point at Route 31, just outside of Dark Cave, at the designated time and date!
Once everyone is ready and the signal is given, the event will start and you will be allowed to enter Dark Cave to begin mining and looking for Treasure! The time limit for the event is 1 hour.
When the time is over, you will be rewarded points according to how much Treasure you were able to find!
• Rewards: All the participants who were able to find Treasure will be rewarded with 5 points per Treasure found toward both the individual Event Leaderboard and the Team Leaderboard!

The Johto region is vast and has a lot of tucked away areas to find and explore, which turns it into the perfect arena for classic games like this! Get together with everyone else and begin a search for the hidden Staff members across the entire map, be quick and precise to be the first to find and poke one of them. If you enjoy friendly and fun games, then we invite you to participate in our Hide and Seek event during this Summer Demo!
• Event summary: Gather around all the other paticipants and get ready to travel the game map looking for the hidden Staff members! When the signal is given, make haste, as the round will end when they are all found or when the time limit ends. The players who are first to find a Staff member will be rewarded with points toward both the Event Leaderboard and the permanent Summer Demo exclusive badge!
• How to participate: To participate, first make sure when the next game of Hide and Seek will take place, which you can check on our Event Schedule at the start of this thread. Then, simply gather at Cherrygrove City at the designated time and date! Once the signal is given, begin looking all around the available Johto areas in order to find the hidden Staff members!
Each game of Hide and Seek will consist of 3 rounds, with each round lasting until either all the Staff members are found or 20 minutes have passed. If you manage to find one of the hidden Staff members, get right next to them and press E to poke them!
The first player to find and poke one of the hidden Staff members is considered to have won for the round, but each player is only allowed to find an poke one of them each round, which means that there will be a maximum number of different winners per round equal to the amount of hidden Staff members there are!
• Rewards: Each player who manages to be the first to find and poke a hidden Staff member during a round will be rewarded with 10 points, per round won, toward both the individual Event Leaderboard and the Team Leaderboard!

The long and treacherous routes of the Johto region seem to be perfect for high speed competitions, and the bike you just got from Cherrygrove's bike shop is eager to be put to the test! If you feel up to the challenge, then you are more than welcome to join our Summer Bike Race event during this Summer Demo!
• Event summary: Get yourself a bike and prepare to take part on a free-for-all race across the map, where you will compete against many other players looking for glory! Make sure your control over your bike is also remarkable, as you will have to stop at certain points to poke the Staff members in order to register your progress through the race course. Finish the race among the top 5 spots to be rewarded points toward the Event Leaderboard and the permanent Summer Demo exclusive badge!
• How to participate: The very first thing you want to do in order to participate in this event is to buy a bike at Cherrygrove's bike shop, as otherwise you won't be able to take part in the race. Once you get your bike, you want to know when the next game of Summer Bike Race is scheduled to take place, which you can check on our Event Schedule at the start of this thread! After that, make sure to attend the event's starting point at Newbark Town at the designated time and date, and simply follow the instructions of the Staff members while waiting for the signal to begin the race.
Each game of bike race will consist of 3 individual rounds, giving ample opportunity for people to win points!
The race course will be from Newbark Town to right outside of Sprout Tower in Violet City, or vice versa depending on the round.
As soon as the race starts, however, you will need to poke one of the Staff members hosting the event near Newbark. To do this, simply get right next to them, and press E to poke them! This will serve to verify that you started the race at the correct location.
Remember that at this point the race already begun, so do it quickly! Then, simply drive your bike as fast and precisely as possible in direction to Sprout Tower in Violet City, but keep in mind that you will have to poke another Staff member near the Hot Springs north of Cherrygrove as a checkpoint!
Lastly, you will need to poke one final Staff member when you reach the end goal right outside of Sprout Tower, which will be used to verify the final player placements, as well as to announce the winners of the race!
Once the winners have been confirmed, wait for instructions from The Staff Team, as the next round will begin! Using a Escape Rope during this event will disqualify you!

Tucked away in a little corner of Cherrygrove City, you can find a warm and welcoming environment in the form of small Cafe, perfect for cozy gatherings and community games! If you feel like spending a little moment alongside other members of the community to play some Pokémon trivia, then feel free to attend our Tea Party Trivia event during this Summer Demo!
• Event summary: Visit Cherrygrove's Cafe for a community gathering and participate in a session of Pokémon trivia minigames using the Local Chat tab! If you are among the winners of a minigame, you will be rewarded with points toward both the Event Leaderboard and the permanent Summer Demo exclusive badge! This varies between minigames, so check all of them!
• How to participate: To participate in this event, first make sure when the next game of Tea Party Trivia will take place, which you can chek on our Event Schedule at the start of this thread! Then, simply visit the Cafe at Cherrygrove at the designated time and date for the event, take a seat and wait for instructions from the Staff members who will be hosting the event.
The Staff members present will carry out the trivia game by hosting a variety of Pokémon related minigames using the Local Chat tab, meaning that only people inside the Cafe will be able to see them and participate! Visit the Cafe for a friendly get-together and prove your knowledge of the Pokémon world by answering questions!
• How to play: In this minigame you will be presented with a series of Pokémon-themed trivia questions by the Staff members. Answer the questions correctly and as swiftly as possible to obtain points! Each question will have a time limit of 1 minute.
The first 3 players to a answer a question correctly will be rewarded with 5, 3 and 1 point(s) respectively!
• How to play: In this minigame you will be presented with a series of Pokémon-themed trivia questions by the Staff members. Answer the questions correctly and as swiftly as possible to obtain points! Each question will have a time limit of 1 minute.
The first 3 players to a answer a question correctly will be rewarded with 5, 3 and 1 point(s) respectively!
❱❱ Pokériddle ❰❰
Visit the Cafe for a friendly get-together and test your mystery-solving skills by finding the answers to riddles!
• How to play: In this minigame you will me presented with a Pokémon-themed riddle by the Staff members. The riddle will be revealed in parts, and after each part is revealed players will have 30 seconds to give their answers to it! Once the complete riddle has been revealed, players will have 1 minute to give their final answers. The game will end when this final timer runs out, or when a player is able to answer the riddle correctly!
The first player who correctly answers the riddle will be rewarded with 15, 10 or 5 points, depending on how many parts of the riddle had been revealed the moment the correct answer was given!
• How to play: In this minigame you will me presented with a Pokémon-themed riddle by the Staff members. The riddle will be revealed in parts, and after each part is revealed players will have 30 seconds to give their answers to it! Once the complete riddle has been revealed, players will have 1 minute to give their final answers. The game will end when this final timer runs out, or when a player is able to answer the riddle correctly!
The first player who correctly answers the riddle will be rewarded with 15, 10 or 5 points, depending on how many parts of the riddle had been revealed the moment the correct answer was given!

Visit the Cafe for a friendly get-together and compete to see how good of a Professor you'd be by guessing Pokémon!
• How to play: In this minigame you will be presented with a Pokédex entry by the Staff members. Your objective then will be to identify and guess the Pokémon the entry is talking about as fast as possible! A round will have a time limit of 1 minute!
The first player to correctly guess the Pokémon in a round will be rewarded with 10 points!
• How to play: In this minigame you will be presented with a Pokédex entry by the Staff members. Your objective then will be to identify and guess the Pokémon the entry is talking about as fast as possible! A round will have a time limit of 1 minute!

Visit the Cafe for a friendly get-together and compete to see how accurately you can read someone's mind!
• How to play: In this minigame you will have to guess the Pokémon or character from Pokémon that the Staff members are thinking about. In this Akinator inspired minigame, players will be picked at random to ask Yes or No questions to the Staff members with the objective of narrowing down their options and getting closer to the real answer!
Every time a question is answered, players will have some time to guess before the next person is picked to ask a question.
Despite questions being given by players picked at random, any player can try to make a guess, but beware, because guesses are limited to 3 per player, so be very careful of how you use them! The game ends when a player guesses correctly!
The first player to correctly guess the Pokémon or character will be rewarded with 10 points!
• How to play: In this minigame you will have to guess the Pokémon or character from Pokémon that the Staff members are thinking about.
